Vets, I have a question for ya

    Ok first Id like to say thank you for your service and second please ignore my ignorance but Im trying to figure something out.

    I work at a telephone complaint line for the Fed Govt. and my question is, why is it that those who call us feel they need to inform us that they are a vet, a disabled vet or calling for one. It will not change how we handle things. That information has no merit to the complaint what so ever, but folks feel the need to tell us this, as if it were to change policies or laws.

    It almost feels that the individual thinks that because he is a vet, that it will make his complaint more important and that maybe it will make us handle the complaint differently.

    Can someone explain that to me, please. Like I said, please ignore my ignorance if the answer is obviously. And again I appreciate what the guys and gals of the Armed Forces have done and do and I to that I say Thank you.
