What if you shoot someone

A front page article in Sunday's St. Louis Post Dispatch dealt with the aftermath of several people who shot robbers or intruders. One man was a CCW guy and carried full time. A robber snuck up on him while he was walking and got the drop on him. When the robber got distracted, he pulled his Glock, racked a round, and fired into the robber. When the police report and investigation were complete this is what the police told him.

1) He should have had a round in the chamber and wasted time racking a round.
2) He should have loaded hollow points instead of FMJ. The hollow points had more stopping power.

Interesting review by police of the episode. Would your LEO's have handled it this way?
