White House Fiscal Policy

Let me set the tone for last night. The prresentation was hosted by the Moneta Group, a funds management group in St. Louis. Clients must have a $1m minimum buy in to the group. With 300-400 millionaires in the room, the presenter was in essance surrounded by an ocean of conservative Republicans. He took a middle of the road approach to his topic but these points came through.
1) the actual unemployment rate is 10-12%
2) the actual domestic gowth rate is 1-2%
3) companies are making great profits and sitting on the money. They fear reinvesting in their companies with a potential "fiscal cliff" laying ahead
4) the presenter was not backing any party but said the country would be better off fiscally without Obama.

Gary lost his way when asked about fiscal policy in relation to foreign policy. I corrected several answers during the open question and answer session. Heleft the building immediately after the presentstion and I did not getb any time with him.

By the way, the food at the Ritz-Charleton Hotel in Clayton, Missouri is fabulous. Moneta spent a fortune on this night.
