Whoa

I have a large oppossum coming in the yard and I tried to shoo it away with a broom a couple of days ago. It turned on me and I had to hit it in the head with the broom. I saw it yesterday and set out a cage trap for it with a little peanut butter as bait. It was in the cage this morning throwing a hissy fit. I'll take it down to the river valley and let it go. I think it is a female with cubs in it's pouch. This critter is so mad, the cage is shaking and ready to turn over. I'll throw a cloth over the cage and hope it calms down. It is too fiesty to deal with now. Possums can carry rabies so I have to be careful.
