This is the second time I have gone fishing and the battery was fully drained. I've replaced 3 starting batteries in the last year. I finally found the culprit. My stereo system. The stereo has pre set channels so that mean it has memory which continuously draws power. The stereo, along with the Optimax engine computer. draws enough power to deplete the battery in a few weeks. To cure the problem, I installed a battery maintainer for the starting battery. It lets the battery deplete a little and then trickles in 1.5 amps/hour until it is fully charged. The cycling of the battery will keep it in good shape. Battery maintainer= $20. Satisfaction in fixing the problem= priceless.
