Gun safety?

    On one of the other sites Im on (no not THAT site), someone suggested the school systems should teach gun safety to our children. Completely disagree, A) this is your responsibility as a parent and B) schools have a hard enough time teaching kids the basics now, esp with the advent of the Common Core (totally different subject) Schools dont have the funds to purchase equipment needed by students now as is, how would they be able to justify that extra expense.


    Further, gun owership is a controversial topic, as with many other topics such as gay marriage and abortion, to name a couple. Would you want schools to teach your kids about such a controversial topic that you may or may not agree with? Keep this to the gun safety issue, this isnt about the two examples I used.

    What say you?
