Took the Colt LE6920-MPB to the range today and fired a few shots at 25 yards walking in with iron sight adjustments before I started hammering stuff out further. We had to qualify with irons in the military.

There were about ten AR's out today and 9 of the had red dots, one had a normal scope. I love scope shooting, totally get that at further distances.

What am I missing with the "dots"?

Alan one guy had a cut barrel like you were asking about on a 4 grand .22LR. He had more in his trigger than I have in my rifle. Still not sure those barrels are all that. He told me it made no difference in accuracy that he could tell. It was more for balance.
