White Bass

    I was working on my BassCat this afternoon when I heard a lot of commotion coming from a slip up the dock from me. I thought the ducks were acting up but the commotion didn't stop. When I went to the slip, white bass were hitting shad in the slip. I had just covered my boat and put up my rods except for a crappie rod with a beetle spin on it. It's a trip catching white bass on an ultralight. Within 5 minutes the whole cove was exploding with white bass. They would come up thru the shad and go a couple of feet in the air. It lasted about 40 minutes nonstop. I have never seen white bass enter this cove before. Water temp is 54 degrees.
